Frequently Asked Questions

How do the pack walk pricing plans work?

After you schedule a meet and greet and if your dog(s) are approved to join the pack, you will be sent a link to the pack walk pricing plans page (the photo below shows an example of the pricing plan selection). Then you just have to select the pack walk pricing plan that was agreed upon during the meet and greet, sign up or log in to your member account, and enter your credit/debit card information. You enter the start date for your pricing plan based on the start date agreed upon during our meet and greet. There is a two-week free trial period at the beginning of each plan that will be used to integrate your dog(s) into the pack walk routine and confirm that they will fit in as regular pack members. Following the trial period, payments will recur automatically on a weekly basis until cancelled.

After you become a member, you will need to complete and sign the service agreement form, accessible through the member pages, before the start of pack walk services.

What happens if I go on vacation or my dog(s) miss pack walks?

No worries! We have a flexible pack walk schedule that will accommodate vacations or other circumstances. Just send a text message or submit a schedule change request form, accessible through the member pages. Please provide notification at least one week in advance of planned vacations.

The pack walk pricing plans normally use automatic recurring payments on a weekly basis. However, the pricing plans can be temporarily "suspended" such that upcoming payments are not collected. This "suspend subscription" feature will be used as the primary means of reimbursement for missed time.

As an example, let's say you have one dog enrolled in three pack walks at $120/week and your dog misses one out of three walks for that week. For the following week, your subscription would be "suspended" such that you are not billed $120, after which your subscription would be resumed to reinstate recurring weekly payments. However, the "suspend subscription" feature would not be used again until after your dog misses more than two additional walks because only one of three walks was initially missed.

As another example, if you have one dog enrolled in two pack walks at $100/week and your dog misses both walks that week, your subscription for the following week would be "suspended" such that you are not billed $100. Your subscription would then be resumed to reinstate recurring weekly payments.

How will new dogs be safely introduced to the pack?

Before introducing a new dog to the pack, I will first work with and evaluate the dog individually and with members of my resident pack to determine how and when the dog may start joining regular pack walks. This is done as part of the two-week free trial period for the pack walk pricing plans, typically at midday or on weekends. Each new dog will receive slow introductions to the pack to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all pack members. New dogs will be separated from the existing pack members during transport until they are fully integrated into the pack; the van has a gate that can be used to separate the front and rear cargo areas, as shown in the photo below. We also follow pack leader principles to help dogs remain in a positive and calm state throughout the entire pack walk process.

Where will pack walks take place? Can I view a schedule?

Pack walks will normally take place at local dog-friendly parks and trails. Pack walks will be scheduled each week based on current pack member locations. The pack walk schedule is viewable as a Google Event Calendar for members at any time. The schedule will show the attending pack members and the planned locations for each group.

How would a typical two-week free trial period work?

The two-week trial period will be used to slowly integrate a new dog into the pack and will typically include daily walks (Monday through Friday) to provide up to ten (10) walks for the new dog, regardless of pricing plan selection. The plan will be customized for each dog, but will typically use the following basic process:

  • Day 1: Individual walk from your house.

  • Day 2: Short van ride + individual walk.

  • Day 3: Walk with another resident pack member from your house.

  • Day 4: Van ride + walk with another resident pack member. Dogs are separated by the van gate during transport.

  • Day 5: Same as Day 4.

  • Day 6: Similar to Day 4, but add a second resident pack member.

  • Day 7: Same as Day 6.

  • Day 8: Similar to Day 6, but add a third resident pack member.

  • Day 9: Same as Day 8.

  • Day 10: Same as Day 9.

What is the additional cost for more than one dog?

There are pack walk pricing plans available for two and three dogs. For two dogs at two walks per week, the cost is $140/week ($35 per walk per dog). For all other plans with multiple dogs, the cost is $30 per walk per dog.
